Ultra-Affordable Nokia C2 Launched With Android 9 & 5.7-Inch Display

Nokia C2 is a new budget smartphone by Nokia that runs Google’s lightweight version of Android called Android Go. It is mostly for those who are short of budget and want to get a smartphone for basic tasks. It arrives as the direct successor to the Nokia C1 that launched at the end of last year. The Nokia C1 hasn’t arrived in India, so there is a chance that its successor Nokia C2 might not also available in the market as well.
Nokia C2: Price
The price of the device is yet to be revealed, but it should be set below Rs. 6,000. To recall, its predecessor Nokia C1 was offered at a price of only around Rs. 4,200 in multiple markets like Asia-Pacific, the Middle East, and Africa.
Nokia C2: Specifications & Features
The handset is said to be powered by a Unisoc quad-core chipset clocked at 1.4GHz. It is aided by 1GB RAM and 16GB of storage, which is expandable up to 64GB using a microSD card. It runs on Android 9 Go Edition, which is customized for low-end smartphones, so you won’t have to worry that this phone only has 1GB of RAM. Moreover, it is also pre-installed apps like Maps Go, YouTube Go, Gmail Go, and more. The device gets a 2,800 mAh battery with no support for fast charging technology, which is totally expected. It has a dedicated button to activate the Google Assistant, but there is no biometric authentication available on this phone.
On the front, there is a 5.7-inch display that has an 18:9 aspect ratio and HD+ resolution. As for design, it has an old design with thick bezels all around, especially at the top and bottom. The top bezel houses a 5MP selfie camera while the back panel accommodates a 5MP single shooter. Other features of the phone include a headphone jack, single-band Wi-Fi, micro-USB port, dual-SIM slots, 4G, and Bluetooth 4.2.
