The incident is once in a lifetime and really bizarre as Google owes the user $900 but sent $10,000 worth of products.

Along with the increasing popularity of online shopping, there are also more and more stories of goof-ups. For example, shoppers receive a brick while they order a phone, or the products get delivered to the wrong people. But no story is like this one. A Reddit user shared how he asked for a refund his Google Pixel 3 phone but he received 10 phones instead.

According to his post on Reddit, Cheetos – the user in this story – returned a defective Google Pixel 3 phone; however, the company did not give him a refund. Instead, Google sent him ten new phones of this model. Cheetos’ post reads:

The user continued by explaining that instead of shipping him a not pink Pixel 3 phone, Google mistook and sent him 10 pink devices. At the cost of $1,000ea per phone, now the user has $10,000 worth of products, legally. So overall, he is positive by $8,000.

At the same time, the user clarified that he wanted to do the right thing by returning the mis-shipped devices. However, he stressed that he won’t do it unless he gets his refund. And in case the company doesn’t support him properly, he will return the extra nine devices through $1,000 COD. And if he cannot ship them, he will sell the phone to get back the money he was supposed to be refunded. He said he was out of patience.

The incident is once in a lifetime and really bizarre as the company owes the user $900 but sent $10,000 worth of products. The tech giant has not commented on the case or contacted the disgruntled user.
