The time of buying a new phone is quite important as you might pass some better features if you buy it too early. It is also the case of buying the Pixel 3A which was launched in May at Google I/O 2019. If you are in this case, it is necessary that you update the security patch. On 4th June, Google launched a security patch to resolve 11 issues, including vulnerabilities in all ranges of high or critical. All Pixel smartphones can have access to this security patch.

Amongst many issues, the issue of the media framework’s security vulnerability is a notable one. Due to this vulnerability, remote attackers can run arbitrary codes which are masqueraded as regular files. Another issue resolved is a bug which contributes to the information leak. It means that users’ information takes the risk of being leaked remotely even though they do not permit. In addition, the update also deals with the Pixel 2 and Pixel 3’s camera crashes. Nonetheless, the patch for this month does not include the performance bugs relating to Digital Wellbeing. It is said to belong to the patch for next month.
In spite of the severities, the Pixel 3A should be updated if it still uses the security patch for March. There is another reason for your update that with the June security update, your Pixel will be eligible to install Android Q beta. Although it is not recommended that you try Android Q beta on the personal device, it is fine with the Pixel 3A as long as it is the cheapest one to try Q beta. Of course, some cheaper Androids such as the Nokia 8.1 and the Asus Zenfone 5Z can replace Pixels.
Have you got the update? It is necessary that you should install it for your Pixel 3A XL and Pixel 3A.
