The tongue-twister name isn’t why the HP Pre 3 never joined the US market. Rather, it was mismanagement and bad sales that costed WebOS’ opportunites in the mobile platform competition.
19. HTC ChaCha and HTC Salsa
It still remains a history as to what encouraged HTC to name its devices after famous Latin dances. Luckily, AT&T decided to change the ChaCha to the HTC Status when it hit the US market. However, its performance on the market was not that great.

If you want your audience to pronounce your product’s name as “view” instead “voo”, go ahead and name your product like the LG Optimus Vu. Verizon decided to cut off all lingustic problems by changing the product’s name to LG Intuition, which is still a vague name, to be honest.
