Samsung Galaxy S10 Teased With OIS Selfie Camera, In-Display Fingerprint Sensor, Reverse Wireless Charging

The Galaxy S10's main features have been teased in three videos, showing in-display fingerprint sensor, OIS selfie camera and reverse wireless charging.

Samsung has been teasing the next generation of its flagship, the Galaxy S10 lineup, which is set to be unveiled on 20 February at an event in San Francisco. Now, the first set teasers of the Galaxy S10 are from Vietnam, and it was just posted by Samsung Vietnam’s marketing team. Each of them reveals different features that have already been hinted through many rumors and leaks.

The first teaser video shows the charging capability of the Galaxy S10. You can see some batteries are charged by a single battery in the middle may indicate the phone’s ability to reverse wireless charge other devices, a feature that was already featured in the Huawei Mate 20 Pro. But it is just speculation, and the video might be teasing us about the fast charge capability of the handset.

The next video shows the selfie camera of the Galaxy S10 in action. The 6-second long video shows its front camera shooting non-hazy photos even if the object is not still. The phone might be able to do that with the help of OIS or some software tricks, but we still have to wait for the official release event to find out. The Galaxy S10 is also shown to feature a nearly bezel-less display with any notch on the front. Instead, the selfie camera will be placed inside a punch-hole, while the earpiece and sensors are most likely shifted under the screen.

The last video shows the on-screen fingerprint scanner of the Galaxy S10. The device will be the first phone to feature an ultrasonic sensor embedded under the screen for biometric authentication. Besides the regular Galaxy S10, the Galaxy S10+ is also tipped to come with an on-screen fingerprint scanner as well while the Galaxy S10e will most likely come with a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner.

The release event is only one week away, so it will not be long until we finally know find out more about the next Samsung’s flagship series and what the company offers.
