Sharp AQUOS R5G Launched With 120Hz Display & Snapdragon 865 SoC

Sharp has just launched a new smartphone in Japan, called Sharp AQUOS R5G. Besides, this is also Sharp's first flagship this year and is equipped with Qualcomm's most advanced Snapdragon 865 processor at the moment.
Design

AQUOS R5G features a U-shaped waterdrop notch design and has a physical Home button mounted with a fingerprint sensor on the bottom. Meanwhile, the back of the device is where the system of 4 cameras is arranged vertically and located in the top left corner.
It has 3 different color options for the user to choose from, including Blue, White and another variant that looks like the Aura Glow version of Samsung Galaxy Note 10+.

Specifications
Sharp AQUOS R5G is equipped with a 6.5-inch IGZO screen with QHD + resolution (1440 x 3168 pixels), 120Hz refresh rate, support for Adobe RGB color space and Rich Color image control technology, which helps to automatically adjust screen according to the surroundings. In addition, it also supports Dolby Vision and U-NEXT HDR.

Inside, AQUOS R5G carries the hardware power from Qualcomm's Snapdragon 865 processor, combined with 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage. In addition, the device also supports expandable storage through a memory card slot up to 1TB.
The phone has 4 rear cameras, including a 12.2MP telephoto sensor with f / 2.7 aperture and 2x optical zoom, a 48MP wide-angle f / 2.9 sensor, a 12MP main sensor with f / 1.7 aperture, and a ToF sensor. Meanwhile, the selfie camera placed in the water-drop nitch on the front has a resolution of 16.4MP, f / 2.0 aperture and supports AQUOS beauty mode.

As announced by Sharp, AQUOS R5G is capable of 8K video recording. In addition, the telephoto camera and the main camera of the device also support OIS and EIS.
Some of the other outstanding features of the device include Bluetooth 5.1 and Wi-Fi 6 connectivity, Dolby Atmos and Hi-Res audio technologies, which are IP6X and dust and water-resistant. It is expected to be pre-installed with the latest Android 10 operating system and Adobe Photoshop Express software out of the box.
Price & Availability
Currently, Sharp has not announced the price and availability of AQUOS R5G. However, we may soon see this phone on sale in Japan after the spring of this year.
