Galaxy F, Samsung's new foldable phone, has received certification from CMIIT in China, unveiling variants SM-F900A, SM-F900F, and SM-F900U.
Samsung is scheduled to introduce its highly awaited foldable smartphone together with the Galaxy S10 series at their Galaxy Unpacked event, which will take place on February 20.
Prior to this official announcement, China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (CMIIT) has reportedly issued the 3C certification to Samsung's upcoming foldable smartphone, indicating that it will arrive soon in China. Nashville Chatter detected that the phone is listed in the database of CMIIT, which shows that the foldable smartphone will come in three variants, SM-F900U, SM-F900A, and SM-F900F. The first model of this list appeared in November 2018 when Samsung allegedly performed firmware testing for the smartphone.
Although the CMIIT hasn't revealed a lot of detailed information of the smartphone, according to leaked information at this point, the foldable smartphone, which is called Galaxy F, will feature a main 7.3-inch main display and a 4.6-inch secondary display. The handset is also said to be one of the first smartphones to be equipped with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 855 chipset. However, the Snapdragon 855 is probably only available for variants sold in China, the US and Canada while the other models will be powered by the Exynos 9820 chipset.

In terms of the foldable phone's camera system, the device reportedly will feature two or three cameras on the rear, which comes with Optical Image Stabilization, although no information about the sensor's megapixel count has been provided. The smartphone is also rumored to feature a 12GB RAM and internal storage of up to 1TB and contains a 4,400mAh battery.
Samsung has already begun to tease the release of Galaxy F after allegedly presenting a prototype to customers during a private conference at CES 2019 at the beginning of last month. The handset is developed based on the Infinity Flex Display form factor, it will feature a cover screen that will be lit up when the device is folded. When the user folds the phone, all of the apps shown on the internal display will immediately be shown on the cover display. The resolution of the cover screen is 840x1960, while the internal flexible screen has a resolution of 1536x1960.
In terms of the phone's price, the base model is reported to be priced at GBP 1,500 (approximately Rs 1,37,500) but the high-end model will cost you GBP 2,000 (approximately Rs 1,83,400). Nevertheless, there has also been a report stating that the handset will have a price tag of up to 2 million South Korean Won (roughly Rs 142,200).
