Samsung has denied rumors that said it would release the Galaxy Fold in July, according to reports. So it looks like the launch date for Samsung’s foldable smartphone still remains unknown.
Initially, the Korean giant planned to release the phone in April. However, there were multiple reports saying that the Fold had problems like displays breaking and bubbling under the screen. Following the reviews, the company decided to delay the release of the Galaxy Fold.

Earlier this month, according to rumors, the company would unveil the device to the media in Korea and would start selling it in July. But last week, Koh Dong-jin, smartphone business chief at Samsung, told a Korean media outlet that the handset would be available before July. The rumors were spread by Korea Herald.
However, Samsung official denied that rumor, saying there has been no progress since the delay in April.
Last month, the Korean giant firm said that the release date for its Galaxy Fold will be revealed in the “coming weeks.”
Last week, AT&T informed pre-ordering customers about its cancellation for the Galaxy Fold due to Samsung’s postpone in launching the smartphone. In return, those who preordered the flagship will get Rs 6,992.7 ($100) AT&T promotional credit.

The telecom provider followed the same move of Best Buy in May where the retail giant canceled preorders for the Galaxy Fold because the Korean phone maker didn’t provide a new launch date.
Samsung didn’t respond immediately for a comment request.
Last Friday, Huawei also postponed the release of its Mate X, its Rs 181,666 ($2,600) foldable smartphone.
The Chinese giant is moving the launch date of this phone from this summer to this September, according to a Friday report by The Wall Street Journal.
Huawei senior vice president Vincent Peng told the Journal that the company delayed the release to further improve the foldable screen’s quality on the device.
Huawei did not respond to a request for comment immediately.
