Samsung Will Unveil Affordable Clamshell Galaxy Fold 2 Alongside Galaxy S20 In February

Samsung has announced the Unpacked event that will take place on February 11. Besides the Galaxy S11 (Galaxy S20), a foldable smartphone will also be launched at the event. However, it will not be a premium model like the Galaxy Fold.

Samsung's upcoming clamshell foldable smartphone will be quite similar to the recently-launched Motorola RAZR. The media called this smartphone the Galaxy Fold 2, but it was not. The Galaxy Fold 2, which is the successor to the high-end Galaxy Fold that costs Rs. 1,64,999, will be released in August.

The Galaxy Fold 2 will be a high-end smartphone, equipped with all the most advanced technology in 2020, and will have a very high price. And Samsung's upcoming clamshell foldable smartphone will be more affordable and come with no advanced technologies such as 5G or wireless charging. Although not a high-end smartphone, but the device will still attract attention and it may be the foldable smartphone with the most attractive price.

According to a recent source, Samsung's clamshell folding smartphone will cost only $857 (roughly Rs. 61,300). That is half the price of Motorola RAZR, priced at $1,500 (roughly Rs. 1,07,300). The clamshell Galaxy Fold will be powered by the Snapdragon 855 processor, instead of Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon 865. In addition, this foldable smartphone will not use the new ultra-thin glass, which Samsung has just invented. It also has a dual rear camera and not impressive hardware configurations.

It can be said that the upcoming version of the Galaxy Fold is a cheap foldable smartphone, to help more users to be able to experience one of the most promising designs of the future.
