To enhance its competitiveness among various rivals, especially Chinese brands such as Honor, Realme, and Xiaomi, Samsung has improved its strategy as well as focused on the mid-range smartphone segment more. In other words, Samsung will be adding new features to the Galaxy A series from this year. After the launch of the Galaxy A8s in December, it is worth waiting for the introduction of the Samsung Galaxy S10, which is planned to launch in San Francisco on February 20. The latest Galaxy S flagship is said to have some new interesting features.
Samsung Galaxy A60 to arrive in April with punch hole
It is reported that Samsung is planning on introducing nine smartphones of Galaxy A lineup in 2019. Four of them including Galaxy A50, Galaxy A70, Galaxy A90, and Galaxy A4+ have appeared online and will be launched on an unknown date of the 2019’s second quarter.
According to the information coming from an interaction between SamsungMobile.News and MMDJ on Twitter, a new smartphone is already under development, the Samsung Galaxy A60, aka the Galaxy A8 Lite. The interaction suggested that Samsung will release its upcoming Galaxy A smartphones sometime in April of 2019. The handset will come along with the Galaxy A50 and the slightly premium smartphone Galaxy A70.
There haven't been other details available about the design and specifications which this device will pack as of now. However, the phone is expected to have a design which is similar to other smartphones of the 2019 Galaxy A lineup. It might sport a punched hole on display, and smaller bezels. The rest of the phone specs may be the same as the Samsung Galaxy A8s launched in China last month, such as rear fingerprint scanner and triple camera system aligned vertically.
Furthermore, the Galaxy A50 is expected to have a 24MP rear camera, 4GB of RAM, and 64GB/128GB internal memory, according to the previous rumor. It will run the OS Android 9.0 Pie out-of-the-box. The latest One UI of Samsung will wrap the OS. The handset also runs the Exynos 9610 system on chip, according to a post on Geekbench.
