Samsung has been very active in the budget and mid-range segments with its Galaxy M and Galaxy A series. Currently, the Galaxy A series has welcomed up to ten members, and it seems like it is still not enough for Samsung as the company is said to launch a new phone to the series. The most affordable handset in the series is the Galaxy A10, but it might change with this new Galaxy phone dubbed Galaxy A10e. The situation is suggested to be similar to what Samsung did with the Galaxy A20 and Galaxy A20e.

According to a new certification page on Wi-Fi Alliance’s website, there will soon be a new Galaxy A phone. The device with a model number of “SM-A102U” has just been listed on the website which suggests that the phone might come out pretty soon. Even though the listing doesn’t reveal its launch name, the new naming strategy of Samsung suggests that it might launch as a watered-down model of the recently-launched Galaxy A10 and called Galaxy A10ee.
The listing only further reveals very limited details about the upcoming handset. We only know that it will run the latest Android 9 Pie at launch and support dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, unlike the Galaxy A10 that doesn’t have dual-band Wi-Fi support. If the information is accurate and it will indeed launch as Galaxy A10e, the budget smartphone offerings from Samsung will include Galaxy A10e, Galaxy A10, Galaxy A20e, Galaxy A20, and Galaxy A30.

Samsung currently offers the Galaxy A10 for $120 or Rs. 8,490 in the Indian market, so we believe this Galaxy A10e might be priced at $100 or Rs. 6,990 in the country.
To recall, the Galaxy A10 sports a 6.2-inch Infinity-V HD+ display with an aspect ratio of 19.5:9. The phone is powered by a Samsung’s Exynos 7884B SoC, coupled with 2GB RAM/32GB of expandable internal storage. In terms of camera, it sports a single 13MP rear camera and a 5MP selfie camera on the front. It is backed by a 3,400 mAh cell without a fingerprint scanner anywhere.
