The Samsung Galaxy M series currently has three members in India, and they are Galaxy M10, M20, and M30. Now, they are about to welcome another sibling in the country which will be called Galaxy M40, and it will be another budget offering. A new report suggests that the handset will likely run the latest Android 9.0 Pie.
If this report is to be believed, the upcoming Galaxy M40 will come with Android 9 Pie at launch which is the first for the Galaxy M series. Moreover, the report further reveals that it will pack 128GB of internal storage. For the time being, it’s unknown the South Korean phone maker hasn’t confirmed whether they will launch more than one option for the handset.
According to SamMobile, Samsung might equip the device with a massive 5,000mAh cell at its core. In addition, the phone will likely be launched with a model number of SM-M405F. Previously, the handset was already passed Bluetooth and Wi-Fi certifications which hints at imminent launch in India soon. Similar to its sibling Galaxy M30, this forthcoming Galaxy M40 is most likely to feature a Super AMOLED panel.
In terms of camera, the phone is said in the report to have a triple rear camera setup, identical to the Galaxy M30. For the processor, the handset will either be powered by an Exynos 9610 SoC or Exynos 7904 processor. For now, these are all leaked pieces of information, and Samsung hasn’t confirmed anything about the Galaxy M40. To recall, the Galaxy M10, Galaxy M20, and Galaxy M30 are priced at Rs. 7,990, Rs. 10,990, and Rs. 14,990, respectively.
The Galaxy M30, which was just up for sale a few days ago, has a large 5,000mAh cell, a large AMOLED panel, and a triple rear camera setup. We believe that the Galaxy M40 will not be the last Galaxy M phone that Samsung will launch this year. For now, the company has already launched a ton of phones in its Galaxy A series while there are only three Galaxy M handsets.
