Samsung Galaxy M30 is the company’s third phone in the millennial-focused M-series. The smartphone was announced back in February 2019. Shortly after the launch of the M30, Samsung introduced the all-new A-series. When it was first released, the Samsung M30 price in India was Rs 14,990 for the variant with 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage. Meanwhile, the version with 6GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage cost Rs 17,990.
Samsung Galaxy M30 Release Date
Samsung first announced the Galaxy M30 in February 2019. The smartphone was officially launched in India on March 7, 2019.
Samsung Galaxy M30 price
With the Galaxy M30, Samsung offers two variants. The variant with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage cost Rs 14,990 while the one with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage was a bit more expensive at Rs 17,990. Consumers can find the device on the Samsung India store, Amazon India and Flipkart.
Samsung Galaxy M30 Design
Compared to its younger siblings, the Galaxy 30 has the same design language. It is built using polycarbonate and its back has a glossy finish. The plastic frame went around the edges.
The rear panel feels smooth with a gradient of blue and black. On the back is the triple camera module placed on the top right corner. The middle sensor has an accented silver ring on it.
Overall, the Samsung M30 shares a very similar design and build with the other two phones that are in this segment. The phone has a functional design. It is quite sturdy and fits in hand. However, we would recommend consumers use a case since regular wear and tear can result in scuff marks.
Samsung Galaxy M30 Display
The M30 sports a 6.4-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 2280 x 1080 and an aspect ratio of 19.5:9. It has the Infinity-U notch design of the company. The Galaxy M30 is the first phone in the M-series to have a u-shaped notch on the front.
Compared to the regular waterdrop notch on the Galaxy M10 or Galaxy M20, the notched design of the Galaxy M30 is smaller. But the chin of the M30 is wider than the M20.
In terms of usage, the Galaxy M30 is a great phone to listen to music on and watch videos. The screen is a bit on the warmer side. However, the colors still pop out nicely thanks to the AMOLED panel. With maximum brightness, you won’t have any difficulties viewing the screen under direct sunlight. The Galaxy M30 has Widevine L1 certification with Dolby ATMOS supported.
Samsung Galaxy M30 Camera
The Galaxy M30 has a triple camera setup with a main 13MP camera with an aperture of f/1.9, a 5MP depth sensor, as well as a 5MP ultra-wide lens with a field of view of 123 degrees.
The Galaxy M30 has similar problems with the M20 in terms of camera. The wide-angle photos are able to take in more of the scene but fail in detail retention. Meanwhile, regular pictures look a bit over-saturated. And don’t even mention sharpness and clarity.
The camera does its best in natural light. In low light, it is unable to deliver any kind of clarity.
On the front, you have the 16MP selfie camera that is below average with a bit washed out and loss-of-detailed selfies.
Samsung Galaxy M30 Specs & Performance
The smartphone is powered by the octa-core Exynos 7904 processor, the same on the M20. The Mali-G71 MP2 is in charge of the graphics on the M30.
The chipset is paired with 4GB of RAM or 6GB of RAM. The M30’s performance has been decent. With moderate use, the Exynos 7904 can power the phone to do various tasks. But don’t expect great multitasking. Moreover, the Mali-G71 MP2 isn’t for games like PUBG Mobile. Definitely not a phone for gamers.
If the apps you are Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, WhatsApp, then the M30 won’t disappoint you.
Samsung Galaxy M30 Battery
Samsung has equipped the Galaxy M30 with a beefy 5,000mAh battery. It also supports fast charging with the 15W adapter that comes with the box. It takes the phone three hours to go from 0% to 100% with the fast charging adapter.
With moderate use, a single charge can offer enough power for two days' use. With heavy use including watching videos or playing games for a long time, it may not last the whole day. That is all the information that we have got regarding the Samsung M30 price in India, release date, and specs. We hope that it can help you decide whether to spend your money on the device or not.
