Samsung Galaxy S10 5G Shares The Best Camera Position With Huawei P30 Pro: DxOMark

With 112 scores, the Galaxy S10 5G ties for the position of the best camera phone with the Huawei P30 Pro, according to DxOMark.

The Galaxy S10 5G of Samsung has now shared the position of being the best camera phone in the rankings of DxOMark. DxOMark has recently posted its review of the Galaxy S10 5G with 112 points, which is similar to the Huawei P30 Pro’s.

The smartphone features the same camera arrangement with the Galaxy S10/ Plus smartphones. The camera setup comprises of a 12M lens with variable aperture, a 12MP telephoto sensor with 2x zoom, and a 16MP ultra wide sensor. But the 5G variant also has a ToF rear sensor, supporting AR applications and okeh mode. The latter is considered as an area which helps the 5G variant score 3 extra points compared to the S10 Plus variant.

Additionally, the main highlights of the camera setup include its exposure, flash, and autofocus, which all gained a high 90s score on DxO. The smartphone achieved 70 points in the bokeh score, which is similar to the Huawei P30 Pro and 5 points up on the score of the S10 Plus on a similar parameter.

The Galaxy S10 5G gained 117 scores for the general camera rating and 100 points for video and, in which its video stabilization and autofocus were the highlights. It is a good choice for those who don't want shaky footage.

Also, the video texture of the smartphone outshone the Huawei P30 Pro smartphone with 70 scores versus 58. However, the Huawei P30 Pro features incredible zoom capability (95 points versus 74). It is known that the Huawei P30 has 5x optical zoom compared to 2x zoom on the Galaxy S10 5G .

In terms of pricing, the Huawei P30 Pro is priced at US$899 (around Rs. 62,500) in the U.S for the 8G RAM/256GB internal storage variant. Meanwhile, the Samsung Galaxy S10 5G has the starting price tag of 1.39mil KRW (roughly Rs. 85,000) in the South Korean market for the same RAM and ROM variant.
