It appears that the over Rs 90,000 price tag of the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Plus 5G doesn’t scare off everyone. Just in August, this phone’s sales made up one-third of total sales of Galaxy Note 10 phones at Verizon, according to BayStreet Research founder and principal analyst Cliff Maldonado.
Maldonado said that last month, the carrier sold a total of 40,000 Note 10 Plus 5G units, outselling other 5G-capable smartphones this carrier as well as others, including the LG V50 ThinkQ and the Galaxy S10 5G. This figure is impressive given that it only went on sale on August 23 alongside the Note 10 and Note 10 Plus.
It was revealed by Maldonado that the main reason behind this strong sales is probably because the supply of non-5G models was limited at launch. And users of both Verizon and the Note want costlier phones.
Maldonado, in comparison with T-Mobile users who tend to buy cheaper phones, said that those who buy the Note doesn't care much about the price tag and focus on getting their hands on the greatest. latest tech.
Notably, Verizon offered first-time users of the Note 10 Plus 5G 36 months of financing.
The analyst projects that the sales of the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Plus 5G will increase in September, after which it may drop. But he expects that from now till year-end, the sales will remain around 30,000 units per month.
While 5G has just entered the real world, its coverage will be much larger and 5G phones will prove useful. Maldonado expressed his belief that 5G's high-value uses are still being explored.
