Samsung Galaxy Fold Official Launch In India Confirmed

Samsung Mobile Division’s CEO DJ Koh has confirmed that the company will bring its Galaxy Fold to the Indian market.

The South Korean phone maker, Samsung launched its Galaxy Fold flagship with a foldable screen on February 2019. The phone will be officially available for sales from April 26 in the US market and May 3 in the Europe market. Recently, Samsung has announced that it will also launch the Galaxy Fold in the Indian market.

In a speech to the media after launching the three new smartphones in the Galaxy S10 series in New Delhi, India on March 6, DJ Koh, Mobile Division’s CEO at Samsung, confirmed that Samsung will launch the Galaxy Fold in India, but he did not mention the exact launch date for the phone in the country. Koh said:

Koh also said that Samsung would ideally like to make the smartphone in India in order to cut the costs. Additionally, the phone could carry a price tag of US$1,980 in the U.S market, equivalent to about Rs. 1,40,000.

Furthermore, Koh also mentioned that the Galaxy S10 5G could be unveiled in this country when the 5G networks have been already deployed. Koh said:

At the launch event of the Galaxy S10 smartphones in India, this South Korean giant also announced that it would introduce the Galaxy Fit, the Galaxy Fit e, and the Galaxy Watch Active in the Indian market. However, it has not revealed the price and availability for these devices in this country.
