Samsung Galaxy A90 To Have Lower Battery Capacity Than Galaxy A70 & A50

A new report has just suggested that the Galaxy A90 would have a lower battery capacity compared to its cheaper siblings, Galaxy A50 and Galaxy A70.

Even though the launch date of the Galaxy A90 is getting closer, the information about the handset is still quite scarce. The key information we have known about the handset so far is that it will likely come with a pop-up selfie camera or some sort and also a nearly all-screen display. Now, a few more details of the A90 has just surfaced online.

As revealed by a source that has a good track record, this upcoming Galaxy A90 will pack a battery with lower capacity compared to its more affordable siblings, the Galaxy A70 and A50. While the Galaxy A70 is said to pack a large 4,400mAh cell, the Galaxy A50 is expected to be powered by a 4,000mAh battery.

As per the report, the battery of the Galaxy A90 will have model number EB-BA905ABN and a capacity of 3,610mAh which is considerably small in comparison with other models.

However, it could be explained by the pop-up selfie camera which might require Samsung to sacrifice some features in order to use the design. After all, its 3,610mAh is not the end of the world. It is still quite decent for a mid-range smartphone and enough to power around a day as long as the company has proper software on the handset.

According to previous leaks, the handset is said to run on Samsung’s Android 9 Pie-based One UI. It is expected to feature a 6.41-inch screen and be powered by the Snapdragon 710 SoC. The smartphone will come in two variants: 6GB RAM/128GB storage and 8GB RAM/128GB storage.

As for the Galaxy A90’s launch date, Samsung has just teased to launch three new smartphones on 10 April. Even though it didn’t specifically mention the Galaxy A90, we believe that these three should be Galaxy A20, A60, and A90.
