Samsung Galaxy A51 was launched in December with a price of around Rs. 24,000 while the Galaxy A71 was introduced in early January for around Rs. 29,990. These are the two smartphones that mark a new step in Samsung's strategy, bringing pioneering features to the Galaxy A series. Each smartphone has its own strengths. And if you are wondering between the two, we hope this Samsung Galaxy A51 vs A71 comparison can help you choose between them.

Samsung Galaxy A51 vs A71: Design & Screen
In terms of design, you will see little difference when both have a multi-color diamond-shaped design, an L-shaped camera cluster, and an Infinity-O display. The difference comes from display size when the Galaxy A51 has a 6.5-inch FHD+ display and the Galaxy A71 sports a 6.7-inch FHD+ screen.

Both smartphones are equipped with screens similar to the high-end flagship Galaxy Note 10, providing a vivid and realistic visual experience, especially when watching videos or playing games. If you love big screens, then the Galaxy A71 is a better choice.

In addition, both are equipped with an advanced in-display fingerprint sensor, which can unlock quickly and reliably.
Samsung Galaxy A51 vs A71: Camera
The pioneering of the Galaxy A series is most evident in the camera. The Galaxy A51 is one of the first smartphones Samsung equipped with a macro camera. As for the Galaxy A71, it is the 64MP camera - the largest camera sensor ever used on a Samsung smartphone.

More details about the camera, Galaxy A51’s rear camera setup includes 48MP main camera alongside 12MP + 5MP + 5MP sensors. The main camera is capable of delivering clear images in any lighting conditions while the 5MP macro camera offers close-up photography with a distance of 2-4cm. Finally, there are a 12MP ultra-wide camera and a 5MP depth sensor. For Galaxy A71, its camera cluster consists of 64MP + 12MP + 5MP + 5MP sensors. With the 64MP main camera, the Galaxy A71 will have sharper images.

For selfie and video chats, both of them have the same 32MP camera on the front with an f/2.2 lens and supports 1080p video recording at 30fps.
Samsung Galaxy A51 vs A71: Configuration & Battery

Powering the Galaxy A51 is the Exynos 9611 SoC, which is paired with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. Meanwhile, the Galaxy A71 owns a Snapdragon 730, aided by 8GB RAM and 128GB of storage. Of course, the Snapdragon 730 chip will be more powerful than the Exynos 9611 SoC. However, Exynos 9611 is still a reasonable chipset for the Galaxy A51.

In terms of battery capacity, the Galaxy A51 has a 4,000mAh battery, supporting 15W fast charging. On the other hand, the Galaxy A71 excels with a 4,500mAh battery, which supports 25W fast charging. In fact, through experience, I found that the 500mAh difference help increase several hours of battery life. Overall, the Galaxy A51 will have about 1 day of use and the Galaxy A71 is 1 and a half days.
Samsung Galaxy A51 vs A71: So which smartphone should you choose?
After a quick comparison, it is easy to see that the Galaxy A71 is superior to the Galaxy A51 in many aspects such as display size, camera, performance, battery capacity, and fast charging. Of course, you have to pay a higher price in exchange for these improvements.

If you are a regular user, surely the Galaxy A51 fully meet the needs. It still has a nice design, quad rear cameras, high-end Infinity-O Super AMOLED display, beefy battery, fast charging ...
