Samsung Galaxy A40 With 25 MP Selfie Camera Launched In Europe

Samsung's latest addition to its Galaxy A series, Galaxy A40, just launched in Europe with a 25MP selfie camera, dual rear cameras, and an Exynos 7885 SoC.

Just several hours after Samsung announcing the Galaxy A20 in Russia, the company introduced another addition to the Galaxy A series, dubbed Galaxy A40, in Europe. The handset is the second Samsung device to sport a 25MP selfie camera.
Samsung Galaxy A40: Price & Availability
The phone is up for pre-ordering on Dutch online store Belsimpel for €249 (around Rs. 19,550). It comes in a total of four color options, including White, Coral, Blue, and Black. Samsung will officially introduce it at a launch event on 10 April.
Samsung Galaxy A40: Specs & Features
The Galaxy A40 is launched in the mid-range smartphone segment. It sports a 5.9-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED panel with a U-shaped notch on top, 87.1 percent screen-to-body ratio, and a 19:9 aspect ratio. Under the hood, it packs a Samsung-made octa-core Exynos 7885 SoC built on the 14nm process, paired with a Mali G71 GPU. As for memory configuration, it comes with 4GB RAM/64GB of internal storage which is expandable via a microSD slot up to 512GB. As for the software, it runs the recently-introduced One UI at launch that is based on latest Android 9 Pie.
On the imaging front, the Galaxy A40 is equipped with a dual camera setup, including a 16MP main sensor with an f/2.0 aperture and a 5MP secondary ultra-wide camera with an f/2.2 aperture. The rear camera can record videos up to 4K resolution. As mentioned, it is the second Samsung phone to come with a 25MP selfie camera on the front. Powering the phone is a 3,100 mAh cell with support for fast charging standard via a USB Type-C port.
As for security, it has a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner. Its connectivity options include dual-SIM card slots, 4G LTE, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, a headphone jack, and Wi-Fi. The phone is quite small with dimensions of 144.3 x 69.1 x 7.9 mm.
