Samsung Confirmed Prices & Launch Timelines Of Galaxy A70 & Galaxy A80

Samsung executive just confirmed the launch timelines and prices of the newly-launched Galaxy A70 and Galaxy A80 in India.

Galaxy A70 and Galaxy A80 are the latest smartphones in the Galaxy A series. Both of them are launched in the high-end segment with the Galaxy A80 being the top-end model. The Senior VC and Chief Marketing Officer at Samsung, Ranjivjit Singh just confirmed via IANS that the Galaxy A70 will come to India in the upcoming week and it will be launched at the price of around Rs. 25,000 to 30,000. Meanwhile, the company decides to launch the Galaxy A80 sometime in May at the Rs. 45,000 to 50,000 price bracket.
Galaxy A70: Specs & Features

The phone packs a large 6.7-inch Super AMOLED panel with an FHD+ resolution and an aspect ratio of 20:9. Powering the phone is a Snapdragon 675 chipset with six efficiency cores clocked at 1.7GHz and two performance cores clocked at 2GHz. The processor is paired with either 6GB of RAM/128GB of storage or 8GB of RAM/128GB of storage.

Moving to the camera, it sports a triple camera setup, including a 32MP primary shooter with an aperture of f/1.7, a secondary 8MP ultra-wide lens with an f/2.2 aperture, and a 5MP f/2.2 depth sensor. Up front, it comes with a 32MP selfie camera with an f/2.0 aperture for taking selfies and video calling.
As for security, it comes with an under-display fingerprint sensor and Facial Recognition feature. In terms of software, it ships with the company’s OneUI which is based on the latest Android 9 Pie. Powering the phone is a massive 4,500mAh battery with 25W fast charging support.
Galaxy A80: Specs & Features

The handset sports a massive 6.7-inch Full-HD+ Super AMOLED screen with no notch or punch hole thanks to the rotating camera design. Powering the phone is the new octa-core Snapdragon 730 SoC, paired with 128GB of internal storage, 8GB RAM, and an Adreno 617 GPU. Unfortunately, Samsung doesn’t equip it with a microSD card slot on this phone.
At the back, it has a triple camera setup stacked horizontally, including a 48MP primary camera with an f/2.0 aperture, a 123-degree ultra-wide-angle 8MP camera with an f/2.2 aperture, and a 3D depth sensor. These triple cameras can work as both selfie cameras and rear cameras due to its swivel mechanism, making it the first smartphone on its series to come with such design.

The device is backed by a 3,700mAh cell with support for 25W SuperFast charging and a feature that Samsung called “intelligent battery” system. According to Samsung, the system can adapt to your usage patterns and routine to save power. As for software, it ships with the latest Android 9.0 Pie with Samsung’sOneUI on top. Its connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, USB-C port, and Bluetooth.
