Rumored Redmi Flagship With Pop-Up Selfie Camera Spotted Again

The rumored Redmi flagship is again spotted on the wild and this time is on the hand of Redmi's General manager Lu Weibing.

Xiaomi just launched two new phones which are the selfie-centric Redmi Y3 and Redmi 7 in the India market. A new photo of another Redmi phone was just spotted on the hands of Xiaomi’s VP and Redmi GM Lu Weibing. The photo shows Lu holding a phone while he was ordering something at a movie theater. It appears that the phone was running Xiaomi’s MIUI so the possibility of him using a phone from other brands is nearly zero.

To recall, the Chinese brand Redmi is said to be working on a new offering with a pop-up selfie camera with a bezel-less and notch-free display. The handset is also expected to be powered by the latest Snapdragon 855 SoC, and the company will launch the phone as their first flagship offering.

Redmi 1

According to the Chinese source, the photo showing the brand’s general manager Lu Weibing with the phone was taken right before the much-awaited Avengers: Endgame. Later, Xiaomi’s PR department also confirmed that information. However, there is no further comment relating to this upcoming handset.

Redmi 3

For the time being, there haven’t been any confirmed specifications of this phone yet. We have heard rumors saying that it will pack the most powerful Snapdragon 855 SoC and a headphone jack at the top. Moreover, it will be launched as a flagship offering which is the first from the company.

For now, Redmi has only launched high-value phones for an affordable price. It would be pretty interesting to see the brand to expand its business to other price ranges.
