The Redmi Pro 2, which is expected to come with a Snapdragon 855 SoC, might come with a pop-up selfie camera on the front.

Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi has been known for offering handsets in the entry-level segment, but it appears that the brand is also aiming to expand its business to the flagship segment with a smartphone powered by the latest Snapdragon 855 SoC. And this could be the one we are talking about, the Redmi Pro 2, that have been spotted on recently-shared render on Chinese microblogging site Weibo. The handset is said to be priced at RMB 2,500 (around Rs. 25,700).

The Redmi Pro 2 will be the first Redmi phone to come with a triple camera setup & pop-up selfie camera

The upcoming Redmi handset comes with the latest trend that replaces the notch which is a pop-up selfie camera. The phone matches the recent description of another device that was spotted using by Lei Jun - Xiaomi CEO.

According to previous leaks, the Redmi Pro 2 might come with a 48MP rear camera just like the recently-launched Redmi Note 7 Pro and triple rear cameras which is the first one from Redmi.

As seen on the image, this Pro phone will come packed with an on-screen fingerprint sensor which is again the first from the brand which has already been rumored to equip an on-screen fingerprint sensor on its devices (Redmi Note 7 Pro, Redmi X), but none of them have it at the moment.

To recall, the Redmi Pro 2 was previously teased on Weibo by Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun. The leaked photo had Jun holding a phone with a dewdrop notched display along with two more phones on the table, one of which was the Redmi Pro 2.
