Xiaomi announced the Redmi Note 8 lineup in India in mid-October this year. Up until now, consumers in India can only purchase the two smartphones via flash sales. However, because of high demand, Xiaomi India has finally released an open sale for both Redmi Note 8 and Note 8 Pro. Aside from this duo, the budget Redmi 8 is also offered in an open sale as well.
Being in an open sale means that you can buy these three phones any time you like and you won’t have to wait for flash sales anymore. They are up for sales via Amazon, Flipkart, Mi.com, and several offline stores.
Redmi Note 8 & Note 8 Pro: Availability & Price in India
The Redmi Note 8 price in India is Rs. 9,999 for the base variant with 4GB of RAM / 64GB of storage. The Redmi Note 8 price goes up to Rs. 12,999 for the 6GB of RAM / 128GB storage option. It is available in Space Black, Neptune Blue, and Moonlight White colors.
The Redmi Note 8 Pro price in India is set at Rs. 14,999 and Rs. 15,999 for the 6GB of RAM / 64GB storage model and 6GB of RAM / 128GB storage model, respectively. The Redmi Note 8 Pro price for the top-end model with 8GB RAM / 128GB storage is Rs. 17,999. It comes in Gamma Green, Shadow Black, and Halo White colors.
Redmi Note 8 & Note 8 Pro: Features & Specifications
The Note 8 sports a 6.39-inch panel with FHD+ resolution and a dewdrop notch. Powering the phone is a Snapdragon 665 SoC with up to 6GB of RAM / 128GB storage. For photography, it gets a quad rear camera setup, one of which is a 48MP primary sensor. Under the hood, there is a 4,000 mAh battery that supports 18W quick charging technology.
As for the Pro model, it has a bigger 6.53-inch Full-HD+ display. The phone gets processing power from an Helio G90T chipset, aided by up to 8GB of RAM / 128GB storage. In terms of camera, there are also four rear cameras on the handset just like its sibling, though the main sensor carries 64MP resolution instead of 48MP. Its battery capacity is also higher, which is 4,500 mAh.
