Redmi is expected to release the Redmi K40 and Redmi K40 Pro later this month.

Redmi, one of Xiaomi's sub-brands with countless product lines with attractive prices but strong performance, recently announced that it will be one of the first manufacturers in the world to launch a smartphone featuring the most powerful Snapdragon 888 chipset. For those who do not know, Redmi's high-end smartphone line is the K-series with the Redmi K30 and K30 Pro duo launched last year.

Recently, information about the Redmi K40 series has also begun to surface online, accompanied by the rendered images that show somewhat of the design of this smartphone.

The new high-end Redmi series is said to feature a new back design.

From the image above we can see the back design details of a smartphone that is said to be the Redmi K40. If this image is to be believed, the Redmi K40 will have a new back design, especially on the camera cluster. This camera cluster seems to be inspired by the Mi 10T and the newly-released Mi 11, including 3 high-capable lenses: wide angle, ultra-wide-angle, and depth-sensing.

Previously, an actual image of a smartphone with an almost similar camera cluster design was shared on Chinese social site Weibo. This actual image is slightly different from the above render with the quad-camera cluster, showing that this may be the Redmi K40 Pro version with a more advanced camera cluster.

This could be the camera setup of the K40 Pro.

In terms of hardware specs, according to some previous sources, the vanilla model will be equipped with a flat LCD screen, a 4,500mAh battery, fast charging support and dual speakers. There is no information about the Pro version except that the device will be equipped with a Snapdragon 888 chipset.

Alleged K40's photo shared on Weibo.

The Redmi K40 duo is expected to be released soon later this month.
