In the past, there have been many rumors about cheap flagship Redmi posted online. Different from the previous devices from Redmi, this phone is expected to be a true high-end smartphone, possessing a strong set of specifications and full-screen design similar to all other high-end phone models on the market.

Recently, Lu Weibing - Xiaomi vice president and general manager of Redmi brand posted a new post on his personal Weibo page. In this post, he attached a photo that illustrates two popular smartphone designs today which are hole-punch design and pop-up selfie camera and asks fans which design they prefer.
Looking at the image above, it can be seen that on the left is a "hole-punched" smartphone with a selfie camera hidden under the screen, similar to the recently-released Galaxy S10 series. Meanwhile, the right device is equipped with "pop-up selfie camera" mechanism like Vivo V15 or Vivo NEX.

Obviously, we can fully speculate that the upcoming flagship will carry either of the above-mentioned design languages, either hole-punch display or pop-up selfie camera.
In addition, we have also just learned that the upcoming this flagship will still come with a headphone jack, according to Redmi’s General Manager. It is quite surprise as Xiaomi has removed all headphone jack out of its recent flagship devices.
To recall, the Redmi Pro 2 was rumored to come with a 48MP primary rear camera just like the recently-launched Redmi Note 7 Pro and triple rear cameras which is the first one from Redmi. The phone will be powered by the top-of-the-line Snapdragon 855 SoC at a very affordable price of just around Rs. 25,800.
For now, Redmi still remains silent about the launch date of this upcoming flagship, but Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun previously revealed the phone will be priced around CNY 2,500 (around Rs. 25,800).
