Nubia's gaming-focused sub-brand, Red Magic, has unveiled its latest smartphone, the Red Magic 11 Air, for global markets.

This device combines a slim, transparent design with high-end performance tailored for gamers. Launched on January 29, 2026, it features the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset and an upgraded ICE Cooling System to handle intensive gaming sessions.

Design and Build

The Red Magic 11 Air stands out with its futuristic transparent back panel, revealing internal components and RGB lighting accents. Measuring just 7.85mm thick and weighing 207g, it is one of the slimmest gaming phones available. It comes in Quantum Black and Stardust White color options, with an Aurora Silver variant expected later. The phone achieves a 95.1% screen-to-body ratio thanks to uniform 1.25mm bezels on all sides.

Display

At the front, the device sports a 6.85-inch 1.5K OLED display with a resolution of 2688 x 1216 pixels. It supports a 144Hz refresh rate for smooth visuals and up to 960Hz touch sampling rate for responsive gaming. Additional features include 10-bit color depth, 100% DCI-P3 color gamut coverage, peak brightness of 2500 nits, 2592Hz PWM dimming, DC dimming, SGS Low Blue Light and Low Motion Blur certifications, and Corning Gorilla Glass protection.

Performance and Software

Powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Mobile Platform with an Adreno 830 GPU, the Red Magic 11 Air is paired with a Red Magic RedCore R4 gaming co-processor for optimized performance. It offers configurations of 12GB or 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB or 512GB UFS 4.1 storage. The phone runs on Red Magic OS 10.0 based on Android 16, ensuring a customized gaming experience. Shoulder triggers with 520Hz touch sampling enhance control during gameplay.

Cooling System

To prevent overheating, the Red Magic 11 Air incorporates an advanced ICE Cooling System. This includes an active fan spinning at up to 24,000 RPM, a large vapor chamber, graphene layers, and an aerospace-grade aluminum bracket. These elements work together to dissipate heat effectively during prolonged use.

Battery and Charging

The smartphone houses a massive 7000mAh silicon-carbon battery, supporting 120W fast charging. This setup promises extended gaming sessions without frequent recharges.

Camera Setup

For photography, the Red Magic 11 Air features a triple rear camera system: a 50MP main sensor with optical image stabilization, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a 2MP macro camera capable of 4K video recording. The front-facing 16MP camera is embedded under the display for a seamless viewing experience.

Additional Features

Connectivity options include 5G SA/NSA, Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 7 (2.4GHz + 5GHz + 6GHz), Bluetooth 5.4, GPS (L1/L5) + GLONASS, USB Type-C, NFC, and dual SIM support.
