Realme X is the latest offering from the former Oppo’s sub-brand Realme, packing a Snapdragon 710 SoC, a pop-up front-facing camera, and a dual rear camera setup with a 48MP main sensor. Realme X is a great smartphone that comes with high-end features for an affordable price. The handset is already confirmed to come to India soon. However, there are quite a few new players in the market like the newly-launched Motorola One Vision which is also expected to come to India very soon. To help you get a good idea of the two attractive offerings, we have made a detailed comparison between the two for you.
Realme X vs. Motorola One Vision: Price
As mentioned, both of the new offerings from Realme and Motorola haven’t arrived in India yet. However, we believe that the two will make their debuts in India very soon.
The Realme X is priced from CNY 1,499 (around Rs. 15,300) for the entry-level model with 4GB of RAM + 64GB of storage while the 6GB RAM + 64GB of storage will set you back by CNY 1,599 (around Rs. 16,300). The top-end variant will come with a price tag of CNY 1,799 (around Rs. 19,300).
On the other hand, the sole variant of the Motorola One Vision is priced at €299 (around Rs. 23,400), but we expect it to come with a slightly lower price tag in India.
Realme X vs Moto One Vision: Specs & Design
While there aren’t many differences between their specifications, the two companies apply different designs for their handsets. The Realme X has an all-screen display with thin bezels and a screen-to-body ratio of 91.2 percent. The phone also has a fingerprint scanner embedded under its display. Meanwhile, the Motorola One Vision features a hole-punch display similar to the Galaxy S10 phones and a rear-mounted fingerprint reader.
The Realme device sports a large 6.5-inch FHD+ AMOLED panel with a layer of Gorilla Glass 5. In comparison, the Motorola offering packs a smaller 6.3-inch Full-HD+ LCD panel.
In terms of hardware specifications, while the Realme X is powered by a Snapdragon 710 SoC, paired with up to 8GB of RAM + 128GB of storage, the Motorola One Vision is driven by a Samsung’s Exynos 9609 SoC, paired with up to 4GB of RAM + 128GB of internal storage. Both handsets have expandable storage via the microSD card slot. In this aspect alone, the Realme X is better with double amount of RAM and a slightly better Snapdragon 710 SoC over the Exynos 9609 SoC.
In terms of camera, the Realme X sports a 16MP pop-up front-facing camera. On the rear, it has dual cameras which are a 48MP Sony IMX 586 sensor and a 5MP depth sensor. Its cameras come with features like HDR with AI scene detection and slow-motion video recording @ 960fps. The Motorola shares similar rear camera setup with the Realme X, including a 48MP primary camera and a 5MP depth sensor. However, it has a 25MP selfie camera housed on the front hole.
For battery and software, Realme packs its Realme X with a 3,765 mAh battery with VOOC 3.0 support and Android 9 Pie-based Color v6.0. On the other hand, the Motorola One Vision is a part of Google’s Android One program and boots stock version of Android 9 Pie. It is fueled by a slightly smaller 3,500 mAh battery and the company’s Turbo Charge support for faster-charging rate.
Realme X vs Moto One Vision: Verdict
If you are a big fan of a full-screen display, the Realme X is definitely the way to go. The Realme offering also offers more RAM, better chipset, slightly larger battery, and a pop-up camera as well. However, the Motorola One Vision has a higher resolution 25MP selfie camera over the 16MP one of the Realme X. As for pricing, the Realme X is clearly winning substantially with a much better price tag and value for the money. However, you should keep in mind that the Realme X is confirmed to come with different specifications to the version launched in China.
