Early this month, Realme announced two new mid-range smartphones in India, called Realme 7 & 7 Pro. Now, the brand brings the vanilla model to the Indonesian market along with a brand new phone dubbed Realme 7i. As you can tell by the name, the Realme 7i is the most affordable model in the series, featuring a 6.5-inch display, a quad-camera setup, and a Snapdragon 662 Soc, which is a new chipset announced early this year.
Realme 7i: Price & Availability
The Realme 7i price is IDR 3,199,000 in Indonesia, which is equivalent to around Rs. 15,800 in India. In comparison, the Realme 7 price in India for the base option is Rs. 14,999. However, the company might set a different price if it plans to bring the phone to the Indian market. Aurora Green and Polar Blue are two colorways of this smartphone.
Realme 7i: Specifications & Features
Here are Realme 7i specs.
The handset comes with a 6.5-inch IPS LCD panel, featuring the popular punch-hole style, HD+ resolution, 90Hz refresh rate, and a tall 20:9 aspect ratio. The display covers 90 percent of the front, which is pretty high for a budget phone.
As mentioned, the device is powered by a Snapdragon 662 SoC, which is a new chipset that Qualcomm introduced in January 2020. There is only one memory configuration, packing 8GB LPDDR4x RAM and 128GB UFS 2.1 storage (expandable). The phone runs on Android 10-based Realme UI 1.0 to take care of the software side of things. 5,000 mAh is the capacity of the Realme 7i’s battery, which supports 18W fast charging solution. Other notable features include dual SIM slot, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, 4G VoLTE, GPS, Bluetooth 5.0, USB Type-C port, rear-mounted fingerprint reader, and a headphone jack.
For photography, there is a single 16MP camera on the front with a Sony IMX471 sensor for picturing selfies and video calling. The camera supports multiple camera modes and features like UIS video stabilization, 1080 video recording @ 30fps, beauty mode, bokeh effect, HDR, and portrait mode. Around the back, there are a total of four cameras housed inside a rectangular module, including a 64MP primary camera with DPAF, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera with a 119-degree viewing angle, a 2MP macro camera with a 4cm focal length, and a 2MP B&W camera.
