Pocophone F1 Surpasses OnePlus 6 In India In Q4 2018, Reported IDC

Powered by the Snapdragon 845 SoC, the Pocophone F1 is reported to surpass the OnePlus 6 to grab the no.1 position in online smartphone market in India.

Manu Jain, Xiaomi’s Global Vice President, tweeted that the Pocophone F1 has surpassed the OnePlus 6 to become the no.1 smartphone in online phone market of more than Rs. 15,000 in India, according to the Q4 2018 IDC survey.
“The Champion of Speed doesn’t settle for 2nd place”, says the tweet of Manu Jain. Also, the tweet comes with a photo that shows that the Pocophone F1 has 22.5% of market share while the OnePlus 6 gained 17.9% in market share. At present, the Pocophone F1 is considered as the most affordable phone running Snapdragon 845 SoC in the Indian market.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 9 and the OnePlus 6 with the similar chipset are respectively priced at Rs. 67,000 and Rs. 34,999 in India. Meanwhile, the Pocophone F1 is only selling for Rs. 19,999 for the base model. Other variants with 6GB RAM/ 128GB internal storage and 8GB RAM + 256GB internal storage have the respective price tags of Rs. 22,999 and Rs. 27,999, which is much cheaper than the prices of other smartphones with the same chipset in the market.
Regarding the specifications of the Pocophone F1, it sports a 6.18-inch Full HD+ screen with a notch housing a 20MP selfie camera. The phone comes with a dual rear camera setup including a 12MP sensor and a 5MP sensor. Also on the back, the handset features a fingerprint scanner. Additionally, powering the Pocophone F1 is a battery with a capacity of 4,000mAh with Quick Charge 3.0 support. Also, it runs on Android 9 Pie. In the Indian market, the phone is available in 3 color options including Graphite Black, Steel Blue, and Rosso Red.
Currently, Poco is running a promotion program which offers an attractive price of Rs. 21,000 for the 6GB RAM/128GB internal storage variant.
