POCO M2 Announced In India: Quad Cam, Helio G80, 5,000mAh Battery

Yesterday (September 8), POCO - the sub-brand of Xiaomi has just launched a new mid-range smartphone in India, called POCO M2. This phone is launched as a watered-down version of the POCO M2 Pro that was announced last month.
POCO M2: Price in India & Availability
The device will go on sales in India from September 15, at a starting price of Rs 10,999 for 6GB RAM + 64GB storage model. Meanwhile, the more advanced version with 6GB RAM + 128GB storage has a retail price of Rs. 12,499. The phone will be available in 3 color options: Brick Red, Pitch Black, and Slate Blue.

POCO M2: Specifications & Features
POCO M2 is equipped with a 6.53 inch IPS LCD screen, that supports Full HD + resolution, and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. It has a water-drop notch on the phone, instead of the punch-hole style like the M2 Pro.

Inside, the new POCO phone owns the hardware power of the MediaTek's Helio G80 gaming processor, combined with 6GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 64GB / 128GB of internal memory. The device supports 2 SIM cards and has a microSD card that allows users to expand the phone's storage capacity.
Moving to the back, this phone carries a system of four vertically arranged cameras. The rear camera cluster includes a 13MP f / 2.2 main sensor, an 8MP super wide-angle camera with a 118.2-degree viewing angle, a 5MP macro camera, and a 2MP depth sensor for portrait photography. In addition, it also has an 8MP selfie camera placed in the water-drop notch on the front.
The handset comes with a 5000mAh capacity battery, which supports 18W fast charging via USB-C port. The device is integrated with a fingerprint sensor on the back, water-resistant P2i coating, supports 4G VoLTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5, and has a 3.5mm headphone jack.
