Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 has been launched and it brings about a host of photography, machine learning, graphical capabilities, and many more.
The chipset is expected to be featured in a wide range of new phones from top manufacturers all over the world, and here is the list of brands that have officially confirmed to use the new chip:
Asus
Asus has been using high-end Qualcomm chips for long with its Zenfone and ROG Phone series run on the Snapdragon 800 lineup. And now the company confirms it would be one of the brands jumping on the Snapdragon 888 bandwagon.

According to Brian Chen – ASUS manager, the next ROG Phones will run on Qualcomm’s new processor.
Black Shark
Black Shark is another company interested in the Snapdragon 888 as it announces that the first batch of gaming-centric Black Shark will make it to the market in Q1 2021.

LG
LG announced that the new processor will power its new phones starting 2021. Our best guess at this point is the LG V70 and maybe the LG Velvet’s successor and the brand’s rollable phones.

Motorola
Motorola confirms that the Snapdragon 888 was coming to its new devices in 2021. But for the Moto G series, we will probably see a Snapdragon 855 or a Snapdragon 865.

Nubia
Nubia is known for powerful devices that won’t break the bank so fans are eager to know what it has in mind for the Snapdragon 888.

A company’s executive said in a video that their new devices featuring the new chip would be available starting Q1 2021.
OnePlus
OnePlus made public that its first phone powered by a Snapdragon 888 will make it to the market in the first quarter of next year.
The executive said the company planned for the camera, 5G, and game capacity made possible by the new chip to be featured on the next flagship launched in Q1 2021.
From what OnePlus has always done, we have reason to believe that it is referring to the OnePlus 9 lineup.

Oppo
Oppo has confirmed the inclusion of the Snapdragon 888 in its Find X3 series which is set to be released in Q1 next year.
In addition, another announcement from Oppo said the new Find X3 phones will have 10-bit color comprehensive support, which translates to more vibrant and accurate photo editing and displaying.

Realme
With Realme X50 Pro and Realme X2 Pro featuring Qualcomm’s flagship chipsets, it comes as no surprise that the brand is among the early adopters of the new Snapdragon 888. In fact, the company has confirmed that the new chipset will power the Realme Race.

The company even leaks some photos of the device with a quad-camera setup and a slick design. However, nothing else about the phone has been revealed yet.
Vivo
Vivo and Qualcomm have worked on many projects together, some of them are the making of the Igoo range, the X series, and the Nex series. And when the latter launches the new Snapdragon 888, Vivo is one of the firsts to join.
What we know now is that since the Vivo Nex 3S, the Iqoo 5 series, the X50 Pro Plus, and the Iqoo Neo 3 all have Snapdragon 865, we have reason to believe a similar arrangement in 2021.

Xiaomi
Xiaomi is no stranger to Qualcomm and it has announced that the new Xiaomi Mi 11 smartphone will be powered by the Snapdragon 888. The phone is set to make it to the market in 2021.

This news is confirmed by Xiaomi executives with a banner on Weibo saying that the new chip will be featured in the upcoming Mi 11. The company also said that the Mi 11 would be the first phone with the chipset.
Lu Weibing – Redmi GM, also said the brand would use the processor so now our hope is on Redmi K30 Pro and Poco F2 Pro.
Who else?
At its event, Qualcomm displayed a graphic with all the brands that have jumped on the bandwagon, apart from the big names on the above list, there are some smaller brands like ZTE, Meizu, and Sharp.
It’s worth pointing out that tech giants like Sony, Samsung, and Google weren’t featured here. However, it doesn’t mean they have no interest in the Snapdragon 888.
Last year, both Realme and Sony weren’t featured in Qualcomm’s graphic but they launched phones with Snapdragon 865 anyway.
