Although the OPPO Reno3 and Reno3 Pro duo have just been launched for a few months, it seems like OPPO has been "preparing" to launch a new generation under its Reno brand called OPPO Reno4. We are not sure about the front of the two new models, but it seems like the company will go for a different design on the new series, especially the rear camera setup.
Earlier on social networking sites, many promotional images of the OPPO Reno4 have appeared quite a lot, confirming the existence of this phone. Most recently, on OPPO's official Weibo page, the company posted the first teaser video of the Reno4, revealing details of the stunning back design of this smartphone.
From the video above we can clearly see the back design of the new Reno4 series. It is not clear whether OPPO will continue to use the plastic back with new color textures on the Reno4 or switch to using the glass back or metal back. The Reno3 and Reno3 Pro series use a glossy plastic back which has made many of OPPO fans disappointed because they look less premium than the previous Reno series.
The highlight on this back that OPPO probably wants to emphasize to users on the new Reno4 line is the "Reno Glow" color option. This is a combination of blue and white, making the device extremely unique and fancy.
As for the camera, OPPO Reno4 will have three main cameras with LED flash and a small laser focus sensor located next to it. Although not showing the details on the front, but according to rumors, OPPO Reno4 will use the hole-punch screen design style on both versions.
Regarding the hardware configuration, new reports reveal that OPPO Reno4 will be equipped with a 6.43-inch 2.5D curved screen, 32MP + 2MP dual selfie camera, 48MP + 8MP + 2MP rear camera setup. Meanwhile, the Pro version will have a slightly larger 6.55-inch 3D screen, 32MP selfie camera, 48MP + 13MP + 12MP rear camera setup, with laser focus sensor.
Both versions are expected to be equipped with Snapdragon 765G chip, 8GB RAM, 128 / 256GB ROM, 4000mAh battery with 65W fast charging tech, and 5G connectivity. For now, we have no information on the pricing of the two upcoming models.
