Redmi 10X & Redmi 10X Pro Unveiled As Cheapest 5G Smartphones

Redmi 10X & Redmi 10X Pro are two new smartphones from Xiaomi. But unlike its predecessors, these two phones are now in the mid-range segment, not budget.

Today, Xiaomi's sub-brand Redmi has officially launched a brand-new Redmi 10 series, including Redmi 10X and Redmi 10X Pro. Instead of using Qualcomm chips, the new Redmi duo is powered by MediaTek's ultra-high-performance mid-range chips that support the next-gen 5G network. They are also the most affordable 5G smartphones available in the market. Besides these two smartphones, Redmi also launched another Redmi 10X 4G version sold separately in the domestic market.

Redmi 10X (Blue, Purple, Yellow)
- 6GB + 64GB: 1,599 yuan (Rs. 17,000)
- 6GB + 128GB: 1,799 yuan (Rs. 19,100)
- 8GB + 128GB: 2,099 yuan (Rs. 23,300)
- 8GB + 256GB: 2,399 yuan (Rs. 25,500)
Redmi 10X Pro (Blue, Purple, Yellow)
- 8GB + 128GB: 2,399 yuan (Rs. 25,500)
- 8GB + 256GB: 2,599 yuan (Rs. 27,600)
While the vanilla model is slated to be available for sales since 1st June, Chinese users will have to wait until 6th June to purchase the Pro version.
Redmi 10X & 10X Pro: Specifications & Features
Redmi 10X & 10X Pro both have 6.57-inch AMOLED displays, FullHD + resolution of 2,400 x 1,080 pixels, HDR support with a maximum brightness of 800 nit. Both smartphone models also have in-screen fingerprint sensors for biometric security.

Inside, there is MediaTek's 820 5G Dimensity processor on both phones. Redmi Product Manager Wang Teng said that the company has partnered with MediaTek to optimize the performance of the processor, so it can achieve AnTuTu performance scores of 415,000.
Both smartphones support 5G network and dual SIM support. That means users can use both 5G networks on both SIMs. Besides, both smartphones also have 8GB LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB of storage.
The main difference between these two smartphones is the camera. The Redmi 10X is equipped with three rear cameras, with a 48MP main sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera, and a 2MP depth sensor. On the front, there is a 16MP camera for picturing selfies.
Meanwhile, the 10X Pro is equipped with 4 rear cameras, 48MP main sensor, 8MP telephoto camera with 30x digital zoom, 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera, and 5MP macro camera. For selfies, it gets a 20MP front-facing camera.

The Redmi 10X & 10X Pro come pre-installed with Android 10, with Xiaomi's MIUI 12 user interface. The Redmi 10X is powered by a 4,520 mAh battery and has 22W fast charging, while the Redmi 10X Pro supports 33W fast charging with the same battery capacity.
