Oppo Poseidon with the Snapdragon 855 SoC and latest Android 9.0 Pie was spotted on Geekbench, speculating to be either the next Oppo Find X or Oppo R19.

The last flagship smartphones of Oppo, the Oppo R17 and Oppo R17 Pro, were released in 2018 with quite a few interesting features. The two handsets come with an on-screen fingerprint scanner, 25MP front camera, Super VOOC fast charge tech, and 8GB RAM. Now, it seems like there is a new Oppo flagship is in the making as an unknown phone has just been spotted on the benchmarking site Geekbench, showing some of the key highlights of the phone.

According to the handset’s listing on Geekbench, the Oppo goes under the code name of Poseidon scored 3,810 points on the single core and 10,963 on multi-core tests and the results are quite impressive.

The handset comes with the latest Android 9 Pie most likely with the ColorOS on top. The listing also shows that the Oppo device will be powered by the “msmnile” processor which is the codename for the Snapdragon 855 processor - latest Qualcomm’s flagship.

However, the listing doesn’t reveal how much RAM is packed on the phone. The previous phone of Oppo, the Oppo Find X, comes packed with a Snapdragon 845 SoC and 8GB of RAM, hence, there is a possibility that Oppo might also opt for 8GB of RAM on this device as well.

That is pretty much all information revealed by the Geekbench listing. However, the phone is rumored to be either the Oppo Find X2 or the forthcoming Oppo R19. Notably, the Oppo Find X2 was previously leaked to feature the 10X optical zoom feature and a hole-punch display.

Speaking of R19, its case was previously leaked by a tipster Slashleaks. The leaked case indicated that the handset would feature a triple rear camera setup. Additionally, the phone is speculated to come with an on-screen fingerprint sensor as well as hole-punch display. There should be more information to be revealed at the upcoming MWC 2019 in Barcelona from 25 February to 28 February.
