For years, with its T series, OnePlus has been playing around with its flagships’ small elements. And the same formula is used with the 8T.

OnePlus 8T Design
The smartphone carries with it a distinct look. However, while the 8T resembles other handsets from OnePlus, there are a few tweaks here and there distinguishing it from other phones in the lineup.
It has a metal frame and a glass rear protected by Gorilla Glass tech. The design does look premium, however, but it can’t be compared to other top-of-the-line phones.
On the back of the phone and in the top-left corner is a slim camera bump with camera lenses and flash.
It is measured at 160.7mm x 74.1mm x 8.4 mm. Its weight is 188 grams. And it comfortable to use.
On the bottom are the SIM tray, the USB-C port, and a single speaker. The volume button is on the left while the silence slider and unlock button are on the right.
Most Android phones don’t have this slider, making it a special element of OnePlus devices. With it, you can switch between vibration, notification sounds, or complete silence.
There is an in-display fingerprint scanner that works fast and accurately. The smartphone comes in two different colors: Lunar Silver and Aquamarine Green.
OnePlus 8T Display
The smartphone has a large display of 6.55 inches. The bezel around the display is minimal, maximizing its screen-to-body ratio.
IT has a resolution of 2400 x 1080 and a refresh rate of 120Hz. And this looks great on the smartphone. The brightness is strong, allowing you to see the display even in bright sunlight.
The selfie camera is at the top-left corner of the screen, behind a punch-hole, and doesn’t use a lot of space.
OnePlus 8T Camera
The camera array performs well in different scenarios. There four shooters on the back. The main camera is a 48MP one with an f/1.7 aperture with optical and electronic image stabilization.
Other lenses include a 16MP ultra-wide one, a 5MP macro one, and a 2MP monochrome one.
The 48MP delivers excellent performance in good light with fast focusing. The images look true to life with natural-looking contrast and colors.
However, in low-light scenarios, the camera struggles a little bit. The detail still looks good nevertheless. There is no telephoto camera since it is something that can only be found on other top-end phones.
The 2MP monochrome work to capture black-and-white images. The smartphone is capable of shooting 4K video at 30 or 60 frames a second. On the front is a 16MP selfie camera.
OnePlus 8T Battery Life
The smartphone comes with a 4,500mAh battery, bigger than the OnePlus 8’s 4,300mAh battery. And you can immediately notice the improvement. On a full charge, it can comfortably last through the whole day with 10 to 20% left at the end of the day.
The smartphone doesn’t support wireless charging. However, the OnePlus 8T does have the company’s fast-charging tech.
