'When is Oneplus 8 launching'? This could be the question by many OnePlus fans. Now, OnePlus finally announces the OnePlus 8 launching date and it is 14th April. Just like other smartphone brands, the event will take place online and you can watch the livestream on OnePlus’ official website and its YouTube channel at 8:30 pm IST. The lineup is expected to include OnePlus 8 Lite, OnePlus 8, and OnePlus 8 Pro. All three versions will reportedly support 5G connectivity and the top-end 8 Pro will carry a 120Hz display. Recent renders revealed that all three will have a punch-hole display, thin bezels, and vertically-placed camera setup.
OnePlus 8 Lite
This will be the most affordable model in the series. The Lite version's specs will reportedly include a 6.4inch AMOLED panel and a MediaTek Dimensity 1000 SoC with support for 5G network. The device will rock a triple-camera setup at the back, comprising a 48MP main sensor along with 12MP + 16MP sensors. The handset is said to come in two memory configurations - 8GB RAM + 128GB storage and 8GB RAM + 256GB storage. Its price could be around Rs. 37,600. Finally, the brand could pack a 4,000 mAh battery inside this phone with support for Warp Charge 30T technology (30W).
OnePlus 8
The vanilla model's specs are said to comprise a 6.55-inch Super AMOLED panel with a 90Hz refresh rate and FHD+ resolution. As mentioned, there will be a punch-hole at the top of the display for a selfie shooter. Powering the phone should be the top-end Snapdragon 865 chipset, aided by up to 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128/256GB of UFS 3.0 storage. Just like the Lite model, it will also get a total of three cameras on the rear, including 48MP + 16MP + 2MP sensors. Its battery will have a 4,300 mAh capacity and support the same 30T Warp Charge (30W).
OnePlus 8 Pro
The OnePlus 8 Pro specs reportedly include a larger 6.78-inch Super AMOLED display with QHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. It will be driven by a Snapdragon 865 chipset, aided by an Adreno 650 GPU, up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM, and 128/256GB of UFS 3.0 storage. Unlike the other two models in the lineup, this top-end version will have four cameras placed on the back panel, consisting of 48MP + 48MP + 5MP + 8MP sensors.
There will also be a punch-hole at the top to house a 16MP selfie camera. The 8 Pro will be the only phone in the series to be IP68 certified for dust and water resistance. There will be an under-display fingerprint sensor for biometric security and a 4,510mAh battery under the hood that supports 30W SuperWarp 3T fast charging technology, 30W wireless charging, and 3W reverse wireless charging.
All three models will be pre-installed with Android 10 out of the box with ColorOS running on top to take care of the software side of things.
