Recently, renowned leakster Roland Quandt unexpectedly shared a series of press renders of the upcoming OnePlus 8, thereby giving us a clearer view of the design, as well as the color options of the phone ahead of its official launch.
Specifically, the source said that the OnePlus 8 will be officially launched on April 15. The device will have three different color options, including Glacial Gree, Onyx Black, and another variant with a gradient back called Interstellar Glow.
According to the report, OnePlus 8 will be equipped with a 6.55-inch Fluid AMOLED screen with Full HD + resolution, curved on the sides and a punch-hole in the upper left corner that accommodates a selfie camera. It will also have a 90Hz refresh rate similar to some recent OnePlus models.
The back of OnePlus 8 is also curved on both sides and covered with glass. The device has a USB Type-C port on the bottom, located next to the SIM tray and external speaker. We can see a power key on the left side, while the right side is where the volume rocker is placed.
The handset is expected to use a Snapdragon 865 processor, combined with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal memory, which does not support expansion with a memory card. Compared to last year's model, this phone has an additional camera sensor on the back. The cluster of triple rear cameras of the device includes a 48MP main sensor, a 16MP ultra-wide-angle sensor, and a 2MP depth sensor.
Meanwhile, the selfie camera placed in the cut-out on the front has a resolution of 16MP. The device will pack a 4,300mAh battery, that supports 30W fast charging and come pre-installed with Android 10 out of the box with the familiar OxygenOS running on top.
