As you know, Nokia 9 PureView is a unique phone in the world with a penta-camera setup. And recently, it has been subjected to the torture durability test of Jack from JerryRigEverything. Now, let’s spend a little time with the video below to see how well the phone holds up under Jack’s test.
First, in the scratch test, as you can see, the device’s Gorilla Glass 5 protective layers scratched at the Mohs level 6 with deeper grooves at level 7, which is the same case for most of today's flagship smartphones.
The selfie camera is put under the screen’s glass, meaning it is protected very well. Meanwhile, the phone’s buttons and sides are made of metal. Additionally, the rear camera setup is also placed under the glass.
Moving on the burn test, Jack used a flame on the OLED display of the phone. As a result, the display lasts around 30 seconds before having a white spot and it can’t fully recover.
The bend test, which is the final test, leads to some creaks when this device is bent from its back and when it is turned over and bent from its front. The rear glass panel seems to be about to come off. However, the results show that it isn’t damaged and the phone can still work, which passes Jack’s durability test.

Nokia 9 PureView is HMD Global‘s leading flagship device, which comes with a penta rear camera setup. The phone was unveiled at MWC 2019 in February, but the brand has just introduced it in India. It is powered by last year's Snapdragon 845 SoC, paired with 6GB RAM and 128GB of storage. Its rear camera setup includes five 12MP sensors (2x RGB and 3x Black/White cameras) and a ToF 3D camera. Fueling the phone is a 3,320mAh battery with 18W fast charging support. Accordingly, both the online and offline price of this phone is Rs. 49,999 in India.
