The Nokia 4.2 finally makes its way to the Indian market after it being announced at this year’s MWC a few months back. The handset sports a 5.71-inch screen and a Snapdragon 439 chipset. It ships with the latest Android 9 Pie (Android One).
Nokia 4.2: Price
The smartphone comes with a price of Rs. 10,990 and two color variants, Pink and Black. It is up for sale from 7 May and exclusively distributed via HMD Global’s website. From 14 May, interested consumers can start purchasing the phone via stores like Reliance Digital, Sangeetha, Big C, MyG, Croma, and Poorvika. From 21 May, it will be available in all offline stores across India. You can also get an Rs. 500 discount using ‘LAUNCHOFFER’ code on Nokia.com until 10 June.
Besides that, HMD Global also offers 6-month display replacement for free which worths around Rs. 3,500 via Servify. Customers of HDFC Bank are also eligible for 10% cash back when purchasing the phone using debit or credit cards on EMI. The same amount of cashback is applied for transactions via Pinelabs terminal. Both of these offers are active until 10 June.
Nokia 4.2: Specs & Price
The Nokia 4.2 comes with a 5.71-inch display with HD+ (720 x 1,520p) resolution, 2.5D curved glass panel, an aspect ratio of 19:9, and a dewdrop notch on top. Powering the handset is an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 439 SoC with Adreno 505 GPU. The processor is paired with 2GB of RAM / 16GB of storage and 3GB of RAM / 32GB of storage. However, the company only offers the latter in India for now. Its storage is user expandable using a microSD card up to 400G. For software, the phone ships with the latest Android 9 Pie at launch.
On the imaging front, it comes with dual cameras on the rear, including a 13MP main camera and a 2MP depth sensor. Up front, there is an 8MP snapper for taking selfies and video calling. For security, it features a fingerprint scanner mounted on the rear. Fueling the Nokia 4.2 is a 3,000 mAh battery under the hood.
