The Google Pixel 3 Lite’s details have just been pretty much all revealed in the latest leak. There have already been quite a few leaks about the affordable version of the Google flagship, Pixel 3, and now a hands-on video of it has just been spotted surfacing on YouTube, revealing pretty much everything of the handset. The leaked video not only shows the pre-production sample of the Pixel 3 Lite but also reveals all of its specs.
Google is tipped to release a Lite version of the Pixel 3
Google Pixel 3 Lite: Specs
The Google Pixel 3 Lite will have a mint-colored power button and the same dual-tone finish as its premium sibling Google Pixel 3 and 3 XL. However, it will come with a plastic body instead of an etched glass and a metal frame. The handset is expected to feature a display with bezels all around and an aspect ratio of 18:9. Not like the premium Pixel 3, the Pixel 3 Lite will come with a headphone jack on the top and firing speakers as well as a USB-C port on the bottom. The right side of the handset is where the power button is located, and the volume buttons and SIM card slot are on the left side.
It also worth noting that the unit shown in the YouTube video is a pre-production sample. Hence, the retail box you can see on the video is unlikely to be the official one, possibly just a mockup.
Moving to the specs department, the Pixel 3 Lite is expected to sport a 5.56-inch Full-HD+ display with a resolution of 2,160 x 1,080 pixels resolution. It will be powered by the Snapdragon 670 SoC along with 4GB RAM and 32GB storage. It is still unknown where the phone’s storage is expandable or not. Generally, Google doesn’t offer that in its Pixel series but Google does give its users unlimited access to Google Cloud storage.
In terms of camera, the Lite model features the same camera as on the premium versions, packing a 12.2MP main sensor with an aperture of f/1.8. There is an 8MP selfie camera on the front as well. The leaked video also shows some camera samples of the handset, and the YouTuber says that the Pixel 3 Lite’s camera quality is on par with the premium Pixel devices. The handset runs Android 9.0 Pie out of the box and is backed by a 2,915 mAh battery.
Google Pixel 3 Lite: Price & Availability
Availability and price of the Pixel 3 Lite is the missing information for now. It is suggested to be unveiled this year, but Google hasn’t confirmed this yet. On the other hand, along with the regular model, Google is tipped to introduce a bigger version of the Pixel 3 Lite, and it is Pixel 3 XL Lite, packing a larger display and the better Snapdragon 710 SoC.
