Moto G Power Announced: Snapdragon 665 SoC & 5,000mAh Battery

Motorola unveiled the Moto G Power with a Snapdragon 665 SoC, a 5,000 mAh with 18W fast charging, and a triple rear camera setup for a price of Rs. 18,000.

Recently, Motorola announced that the sales of its Moto G series surpassed 100 million units. At the same time, we also reported that the brand was all set to release several new smartphones called Moto G8, Moto G8 Power, and Moto G Stylus. There have been multiple leaks and rumors about these three on the Internet for a couple of weeks. Now, the Lenovo-owned Motorola official released the last two in Canada and the US. However, Motorola drops the number 8 on the name of the Moto G8 Power and calls it Moto G Power. Both the Moto G Stylus and Moto G Power are placed in the mid-range segment.

Moto G Power: Price & Availability
The official listing of the phone doesn’t reveal its official release date, but it is also expected to go on sales sometime in Spring just like the Moto G Stylus.
The Moto G Power price is roughly Rs. 17,800 for a single model with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage.

The Moto G Power boasts a 6.4-inch LCD panel that offers FHD+ resolution. The display features the punch-hole design, which has been very popular late last year and this year so far. Ticking at its core is a Snapdragon 665 octa-core processor, aided by 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The bottom chin of the phone is slightly trimmed down, but it is still relatively thick. It has a plastic body with a 9.63mm thickness. At the back, it gets a fingerprint reader embedded with the Moto dimple while there is a headphone jack at the bottom.

The handset is packed a massive 5,000 mAh battery with 18W fast charging support, and the battery is claimed by the brand to fuel the phone for three days on a single charge. In terms of camera, it has a triple-camera lens setup that is stacked vertically at the upper left side. The setup comprises a 16MP primary camera, an 8MP ultra-wide snapper with a 118-degree field of view, and a 2MP dedicated macro unit. As mentioned, it comes with a 16MP camera for selfies housed in the punch-hole on the front. Finally, it is pre-installed with Android 10 to take care of the software side of things.
