Moto G 5G Plus Announced: SND765G, Dual Selfies Cameras, 90Hz Display

Back in 2013, Motorola launched the first-gen Moto G - a beautiful little phone with a single camera, 1GB of RAM, and 3G network connectivity. Over the years of development, the Moto G series has made certain changes and today is the time to mark another milestone. Yesterday, Motorola has launched its first Moto G smartphone with 5G support called Moto G 5G Plus.

Moto G 5G Plus: Price & Availability

The Moto G 5G Plus will go on sales in Europe for a starting price of 349 Euro (around Rs. 30,000) for the 4GB RAM + 64GB ROM option. The top-end version with 6GB RAM + 128GB ROM has a retail price of 399 Euro (equivalent to around Rs. 33,900).

Motorola goes for the popular punch-hole design on this phone to accommodate dual selfie cameras. However, instead of a pill-shaped punch-hole, the brand instead put two holes at the top left corner. 

The back of the Moto G 5G Plus is where the square camera assembly is rounded at the corners and has a total of four sensors. Meanwhile, the LED flash is made quite long and is located to the right of the camera cluster.

Moving to the hardware specifications, the Moto G 5G Plus is equipped with a 6.7-inch screen, that supports Full HD + resolution, HDR10, and a 90Hz refresh rate. Inside, the device owns the hardware power of the Snapdragon 765G processor, along with 4GB / 6GB RAM and 64GB / 128GB internal memory. In addition, it also has a dedicated microSD card slot to expand storage capacity.

Moving to the back, Motorola's new smartphone features a 4-camera system housed in a square module. The rear camera cluster includes a 48MP f / 1.7 main sensor, a 5MP f / 2.2 macro camera, 8MP f / 2.2 ultra-wide-angle camera, and 2MP f / 2.2 depth-sensing camera. It has a dual 16MP + 8MP selfie camera (wide angle) on the front.

Under the hood, the Moto G 5G Plus comes with a 5000mAh battery, which can provide up to 2 days of battery life and supports TurboPower 20W fast charging via a USB-C port. The device has a fingerprint sensor on the right side and also supports face unlock.

Other features of this phone include NFC connectivity, Bluetooth 5.1, Google Assistant button, dual SIM support, and pre-installed Android 10-based My UX.
