Xiaomi Mi MIX 4 is evaluated as one of the most closely-guarded smartphones this year. Even as the company officially announced the release date, at present, there are nearly no leaks and renders in the design of the phone. Additionally, most specs are from various rumours with more reliable sources like a listing on TENAA missing. But on September 20, Xiaomi posted a teaser, suggesting a breakthrough screen-to-body ratio. The brand has changed the name of the series to a MIX α moniker as well. Also, the MIX 4 won’t be the only device to debut on 24 September. The company announced that it will introduce MIUI 11 along with the Mi 9 Pro 5G and 8K Mi TV on that day.
As you can see, the phone will even do better than the Vivo Nex 3 when featuring a bezel-less display. Accordingly, the phone will sport such an impressive 100% screen design. According to Chinese speculation, the phone will become the first phone from Xiaomi to have a curved AMOLED screen like the latest NEX smartphone with a screen refresh rate of 90Hz. Additionally, it is expected to come with a 108MP sensor recently launched by Samsung composing quad rear camera module.
Separately, the Mi 9 Pro phone, which is scheduled to debut on a similar day, is said to feature the 40W wired fast charging and 30W wireless fast charging. Therefore, we expect the Mi MIX 4 also supports these two features. We still call the phone MIX 4 though no promotion from the brand contains the number “4”. The latest teaser of the company called the upcoming series as the MIX α. Additionally, the phone is expected to come with Snapdragon 855+ SoC, coupled with up to 512GB internal storage. Powering it is allegedly a 4,500 mAh battery. Ahead of the official launch date, we hope to know more details about this phone.
