Meizu Note 9 render
According to the recent posts of CEO Jack Wong, Meizu’s next smartphone could be Meizu Note 9. He recently announced that this new handset is likely to have a 48MP camera and be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 6150. In addition, the smartphone could have a 6.3-inch screen with a waterdrop notch design. This device will also ship with the latest Android OS and Flyme UI of the company.
Furthermore, Meizu Note 9 is likely to get rid of the fingerprint reader on the back. It will feature the side-mounted fingerprint sensor instead, according to reports on the Gizmochina website. The handset might be equipped with two cameras including the GM1 camera sensor of Samsung that is available on smartphones like the Redmi Note 7 and Samsung Galaxy A8s. Especially, the camera sensor of Samsung is inferior to IMX586 48MP sensor of Sony because it can take 48MP photos in HD mode by interpolation.
Meizu Note 9 to have waterdrop notch design
Besides, the handset is confirmed to be powered by Snapdragon 6150, which is the Snapdragon 675’s codename. Previously, a Meizu phone with the M923Q model number was spotted on the 3C body of China database. The device will feature a 4,000mAh battery.
Meizu Note 9 is rumored to be chosen to compete with its rival, Redmi Note 7 of Xiaomi. The Redmi Note 7 has the same configuration and a starting price of CNY999 (equivalent to Rs 10,400). This upcoming handset with a better performance in the chipset is likely to have the same price, which gives Xiaomi a fierce competition. So far, Meizu has not announced the official launch of its new smartphone. However, rumor has it that the smartphone might be launched on February 5th, 2019.
