Launching a new Z-series smartphone, the Chinese phone maker Lenovo is trying to revamp its phone lineup. The Lenovo Z5s is most likely a new addition to the Z series and a report also suggests that Lenovo might also release a special edition of its Z5s called Ferrari Superfast as recently Lenovo became the main sponsor of professional sports team Scuderia Ferrari. Therefore, it isn’t a surprise that these two companies team up to make the Lenovo Z5s Ferrari Superfast.
The Purple variant of the Lenovo Z5s
Slashleaks recently shared a leaked image of an upcoming Lenovo handset which is speculated to be the Lenovo Z5s Ferrari Superfast. It is interesting as earlier this month, another Chinese phone producer, OnePlus, partnered with McLaren racing team to release a special edition of its OnePlus 6T called OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition. The McLaren Edition of OnePlus 6T is powered by 10GB, and the Lenovo Z5s Ferrari Superfast is expected to feature even higher specs.
The Ferrari edition of the Z5s is shown in the above leak to feature a massive 12GB RAM, which is most likely the first one to feature that much RAM. Similar to other flagships out there, this Lenovo special edition is expected to come with the powerful Snapdragon 845 SoC.
The leaked photo also hints that this limited edition of the Z5s will run ZUI 10.5, which is possibly based on the latest Android Pie. However, these are not official specifications so you should take these details with a grain of salt.
There have been quite a few teasers of the Lenovo Z5s from Lenovo for quite a while, and the handset will be released on 18 December at the global headquarters of Lenovo in China. So far, the renders uploaded by the Chinese company confirm the handset to feature a triple camera system placed vertically at the rear which is similar to the Huawei P20 Pro. The handset is also expected to have an in-display front-facing camera just like the ones on the recent Huawei Nova 4 and Galaxy A8s.
