Lava Z71 is a new budget offering from Lava with dual rear cameras and Helio A22 SoC for a very affordable price tag of Rs. 6,299.

Lava Z71 has just gone official in India as the company’s latest budget offering. The handset arrives with a water-drop notch on top of the display to house a selfie camera and a dedicated Google Assistant button. At the back, the device is also equipped with a dual-camera cluster, including a 13MP main sensor a 2MP secondary sensor. Camera features include LED flash, HDR, panorama, AR Sticker, AI Studio Mode that users can use to take six-level portraits. Other key details include 5MP selfie camera as well as Face Unlock feature and rear-mounted fingerprint reader for biometric security.

The Lava Z71 price in India is Rs. 6,299 in two color variants - Steel Blue and Ruby Red. It is up for grabs via offline and official retailers.

The handset flaunts a 5.7-inch display that supports HD+ (720 x 1,520p) resolution, a dewdrop notch at the top to house a selfie camera, and an aspect ratio of 19:9. Powering the phone is a MediaTek Helio A22 quad-core chipset, clocked at 2GHz. The chipset is combined with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of storage, which can be further expanded using a microSD card slot (up to 256GB). On the software side of things, it ships with Android 9 Pie pre-installed alongside the company’s Star OS 5.1.

Camera-wise, there are two cameras at the back of the phone, which are 13MP main sensor and 2MP secondary sensor. Upfront, it gets a 5MP shooter with a soft flash for video chats and selfies. The phone measures 145.6 x 70.9 x 9 mm and weighs 150g. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi b/g/n, dual 4G LTE, GPS, FM radio, dual SIM slots, headphone jack, and Bluetooth v5.0.
