Redmi fans are anxiously waiting for the upcoming flagship from the brand that makes use of the latest Snapdragon 855. Currently, the identity of this smartphone has not been disclosed but with Redmi's tradition, it is expected that it will be a high-configuration device but sold at a very reasonable price. And recently, some key specifications of this smartphone have leaked thanks to a popular tipster on Weibo.
Accordingly, the Redmi flagship will have a 6.39-inch FHD+ screen with 2,340 x 1,080p resolution and the most powerful Qualcomm’s chipset, the Snapdragon 855 SoC. This chipset will be supported by 8GB of RAM and 128GB internal storage. Up front, it is said to come with a 32MP camera for taking selfies and video calling. At the back, there will likely be a triple camera setup, comprising of a 48MP primary camera along with a secondary 8MP depth sensors and a third 13MP ultra-wide snapper.
Some features of this upcoming flagship have been revealed by the company's general manager Lu Weibing and some other directors. Accordingly, this flagship will support NFC and still have a 3.5mm headphone jack. According to Mr. Weibing, his company's flagship is worth waiting for because it provides strong performance, better camera, and a high screen-to-body ratio.
There is currently no confirmation on this handset's display design. However, some leaked images show that flagship Redmi will have an all-screen design with very thin bezels. Moreover, the handset is expected to feature a pop-selfie camera which will be the first from the company, but this is not confirmed yet so you should take this news with a grain of salt. According to speculation, Redmi will show their flagship in May or June.
