iPhone XR Vs Galaxy S10E: Every Specs Compared

The launch of Apple iPhone XR last year attracted a lot of user interest because of its price. It has most of the features of the iPhone XS, but the price is lower to $250. However, it now has an opponent from a Korea large technology company. On Wednesday at the Unpacked event held in San Francisco, Samsung launched the Galaxy S10E - a direct competitor to the iPhone XR. Galaxy S10E has a price lower than $150 compared to the S10 but still retains most of the outstanding features of the predecessor.

Display
While the iPhone XR has a 6.1-inch Retina Display screen with a resolution of 1,792x828-pixels, the Galaxy S10E has a smaller screen with the 5.8-inch AMOLED and a slightly higher resolution of 2,280x1,080-pixels. S10E provides 438ppi of pixel density while the XR gives 326ppi.
Size
The iPhone XR measures 150.9 x 75.7 x 8.3 mm slightly larger than the Galaxy S10E's 142 x 70 x 7.9 mm. By being a little bigger, XR (194g) is also heavier than S10E (150g).
Operating system
Samsung equipped the S10E with its latest operating system, the Android 9.0 with Samsung One UI and iPhone XR also has the latest operating system of Apple, iOS 12.
Camera
While the XR has only one rear camera with 12 - megapixel, the S10E has two rear cameras including a 12 - megapixel wide – angle and a 16 - megapixel ultra - wide angle. On the front, Samsung Galaxy S10E has a selfie camera with 10-megapixel resolution. The front camera of Apple iPhone XR has only 7 - megapixel, but it has a FaceID feature, which the S10E doesn’t. Both products have 4K video recording capability.
Hardware
Samsung equips Galaxy S10E Octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor with the options of 128 GB or 256 GB storage and 6GB or 8GB RAM. Users can upgrade capacities up to 512GB via an external memory card. 3,100mAh battery capacity of S10E allows you to use it all day with regular tasks. The iPhone XR uses the Apple A12 Bionic, and three choices of storage for users are 64GB, 128GB, and 256GB. Like many other Apple phones, users cannot upgrade their storage capacity via external memory card on iPhone XR. The parameters of RAM and battery capacity are not announced by Apple. However, Apple said, iPhone XR can be used longer up to 90 minutes than iPhone 8 Plus.
Fingerprint ID and Face ID
Samsung integrates the fingerprint sensor on the S10E power button, which helps you quickly open the phone as soon as you touch the power button. Meanwhile, Apple has omitted the fingerprint sensor on the XR iPhone and only uses Face ID or regular passwords. This can bring a lot of conveniences, but it is also uncomfortable for many people.
Galaxy S10E uses USB-C port and still holds the headphone connection port. Apple even lets XR use the Lightning port as the primary connection port, and also a headphone port.
Other Special Features
The iPhone XR also has other special features like dual-SIM capabilities (nano-SIM and e-SIM), water-resistant: IP67, memoji, wireless charging. Galaxy S10E also has IP68 water resistance, and fast wireless is charging 2.0. It also includes wireless PowerShare and a hole punch on the screen.
Price
Currently, the Apple iPhone XR costs $749 for the 64GB version, $799 and $899 for the 128GB and 256GB versions respectively. Samsung Galaxy's current price is $750.
