We have reported a lot of news on the iPhone 9 / iPhone SE 2020 for quite a while, with the release date being ‘leaked’ several times. A new report suggested that the device could come in three memory configurations, 64GB / 128GB / 256GB. It will also be available in three color variants, including Red, Black, and White. While we are waiting for the official news from Apple, the iPhone SE 2020 has just popped up on Chinese’s giant e-commerce site JD.com. Even though the listing doesn’t reveal the release date, specs, or design of the upcoming iPhone, it does reveal that the shipments will start from 1st Mayu to 10th May. It means the handset should make its debut before that date, which might be 15 April, according to previous leaks.
We have learnt that the upcoming iPhone SE 2020 will have a design that is inspired by that of the iPhone 8. That means the handset will have a small screen, possibly having a size of 4.7 inches along with sizeable bezels at the top and bottom. The home button will be mounted with the Touch ID for biometric security. Powering the handset will be Apple’s A13 Bionic chipset, which is notably driven by the top-end iPhone 11 series. Paired with the chipset will be 3GB of RAM and 64GB / 128GB / 256GB of storage. In terms of software, it will be pre-loaded with the latest iOS 13. Other features include a glass back, a single camera at the front and back, and a LED flash.
The iPhone SE 2020 price is said to start at around Rs. 30,000 for the entry-level model. The budget iPhone will be offered alongside five cases, including Black leather, Midnight Blue leather, Red leather, White silicone, and Black silicone. As for the launch date, we have mentioned that it should launch before 1st May, it means the handset could make its debut any time this month. Moreover, Apple is reportedly training new employees and telling them to offer technical support remotely to customers during the COVID-19 lockdown.

iPhone SE 2020: Launch News
After a long wait with a series of rumors, Apple has officially announced the successor to the iPhone SE today. With a starting price of $399 (around Rs. 30,500), the iPhone SE 2020 is the cheapest model in Apple's current lineup, but it is still equipped with many features used on the high-end iPhone 11 series.
Unexpectedly, the iPhone SE 2020 has the same design as the iPhone 8 as we reported in our previous articles. The front of the device is a thick bezel display with a Touch ID fingerprint sensor mounted on the home button. Its back is made of glass and the frame is made of metal. The only difference between the iPhone SE 2020 and iPhone 8 is the Apple logo placement, which is moved down to the middle, like the iPhone 11.
Its screen has a 4.7-inch size and IPS LCD technology, just like the iPhone 8. Unfortunately, the SE 2020 does not have a "Plus" version, meaning that users who prefer large-screen smartphones will be less interested in this device.
The iPhone SE 2020 also inherits iPhone 8’s water resistance. IP67 certification allows this phone to survive underwater at a depth of 1 meter for 30 minutes.
The handset is offered in three color versions: Black, White, and Red.
The most valuable feature of iPhone SE 2020 is performance. With the same Apple A13 Bionic chip as the top-end iPhone 11 and iPhone 11 Pro Max, this new affordable iPhone easily becomes one of the best performance smartphones available today, surpassing many premium Android smartphones.
The phone is equipped with a single camera with 12MP resolution and f / 1.8 aperture. It's impossible to confirm that this new model's camera is the same as the iPhone 11 or iPhone XR, but it should offer the same or better photography experience as the iPhone 8.
An upgrade of the iPhone SE 2020 that many Indian users would be interested in is that this model supports two SIMs, which is said to include one eSIM (electronic SIM) and one physical SIM. In addition, it supports the new and fastest Wi-Fi 6 standard.
