iPhone 12 official trailer
While Apple hasn’t posted any video about the iPhone 12, several YouTube channels already made their own trailer for the upcoming iPhones. These videos mostly show the rendered look of the smartphones based on previous leaks and rumors, along with rumored specifications. The following are some examples.
iPhone 12 launch date
It’s a common question about when iPhone 12 release. In July, Apple confirmed that the iPhone 12 lineup will come out later than usual, probably late September, a few weeks later than last year’s iPhones.
From this statement, we can expect the devices to launch in October, maybe in mid-October.
iPhone 12 specifications
For the last three years, Apple has used the iPhone X design on its newer models, so we hope that the 2020 iPhones will be different. While some rumors suggest that they will keep the edge-to-edge display with a notch, others say that there will be a smaller notch. According to analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, the notch may even be removed by using smaller camera tech.

Also, a design from past iPhones may come back this year, with flat sides instead of rounded-off. This design hasn’t been used since the original iPhone SE. As the latest iPad Pro used this design, multiple sources claimed the same thing for the iPhone 12.
In terms of color options, Apple may use space gray, silver, and navy blue this time, but the Navy Blue color would be applied on the Pro variant only.
When it comes to sizes, the standard version may feature 2 options: 5.4 inches and 6.1 inches, and the Pro version may be 5.8 or 6.1 inches large.
Continuing with speculated iPhone 12 specs, Apple will likely use lower-quality screens for this year’s iPhones to keep a budget price for the phones while saving the thinner Y-Octa tech for higher-end models. Besides, the new iPhones may feature a 120Hz refresh rate.

Regarding cameras, the camera module on the back of the phone should remain the same, except for some minor upgrades in the processing engine. There were rumors that the Pro versions may receive the LiDAR system like the iPad Pros. With the iPhone 12 lineup, Apple may use a new 7-piece system to provide higher-quality images than the iPhone 11 lineup.
There will still be Face ID, but to make the notch smaller or gone, the iPhone maker must change the components in its sensor array. It’s suggested by Ming-Chi Kuo that the front camera may be smaller for the sake of this change.
It could help to place the components in the bezel to reduce or remove the notch. A leaked image from Jon Prosser shows a more compact sensor placement.
It’s possible that the iPhone 12 lineup will be powered by the A14 Bionic chip. There aren’t any leaks around this specification but Apple has long been known for upgrading its processing and graphics power year after year.
Regarding other specs, the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Max will feature 4GB RAM with 128GB or 256GB internal storage while the iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max will feature 6GB RAM and 128GB, 256GB, or 512GB internal storage.

iPhone 12 pricing
The price tags of the upcoming iPhones will vary among models and storage variants. The iPhone 12 4GB/128GB may cost $649 while the same model of 4GB/256GB may cost $749. The iPhone 12 Max 4GB/128GB may be priced at $749 while the Max 4GB/256GB may be priced at $849. For the iPhone 12 Pro, the price tags could be $99, $1099, and $1299 for the 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB storage, respectively. And finally, for the iPhone 12 Pro Max, the price tag could be $1099, $1199, and $1399 for the 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB storage, respectively.
iPhone 12 news
In a new report from Fast Company, it seems that Apple will only offer premium 5G for the iPhone 12 Pro Max in the US, Japan, and Korea. The other markets will get the iPhone 12 Pro Max with a cheaper 5G connectivity.
Overall, though Apple hasn’t released the iPhone 12 trailer, we have already learned about specifications and information about the new iPhone lineup. We will keep updating news about the iPhone 12 lineup, stay tuned!
